RCIA Rite
of Christian Initiation of Adult
- Are you interested in learning what it means
to be a Catholic?
- Are you interested in becoming a member of the
Catholic Community with full reception, celebrating Sacraments
of Baptism, Confirmation, and First Eucharist?
- Are you a baptized adult Catholic who would
like to receive the Sacraments of Confirmation and/or First
Eucharist?
If you answered yes, then RCIA, Rite of Christian
Initiation of Adult, is for you.
The RCIA is a journey in faith reflection on how
God has been active in our lives, and is a process for those
interested in becoming members of the Catholic faith community,
or for those adults who need to complete their sacraments.
The RCIA program begins in September and continues through
Pentecost with weekly sessions on Thursdays from 7:30 to 9:30
PM. In addition, from Advent through Lent, Candidates are
dismissed from the Sunday 9:30 AM liturgy following the liturgy
of the word to reflect on the Gospel reading. Throughout the
nine month RCIA period, five major rites and four minor rites
are held during the liturgies to mark important stages in
the Candidate’s faith journey.
For more information regarding the RCIA process,
contact Rose Gallagher at the Rectory, (925) 447-4549.
L.I.F.E.
(Lessons in Faith Experience) offers opportunities
for adults to deepen their relationship with God and enhance
their faith life. Sessions are held once a month in the Keeley
Center and feature guest speakers resenting real-life topics.
A Lenten mission will be offered, which includes daily Mass.
Fees will be charged for each session. Dates and topics are
announced in the bulletin each month and posted on the monthly
calendar mailed to parishioners. Contact Updating Catholics
Coordinator: 447-4549.

It is designed for mothers of any ages and stages. Evening
and daytime sessions are offered at various times during the
year. Enrollment for each series is limited to 12 women. Contact
M.O.M.S. leader (see ministry roster for name and phone number).
